The HRT multidisciplinary team that integrates geology, geophysicist, geochemistry and petroleum system modeling builds a realistic geological framework in order to improve the knowledge over the elements and mechanisms that determine the existence of the prospect.

In frontier exploration areas, with not known or with very few hydrocarbon accumulations, a series of alternative petroleum system scenarios can be tested by HRT’s modeling experts. On the other hand, in mature exploration areas, with existing hydrocarbon production, and with control over the petroleum system elements and processes, the petroleum system of the area can be accurately calibrated, substantially reducing the exploration uncertainties.
